Kit's Custom Audi TT Turbo

Rarely do you find a car that is both show quality and has the speed /power to back it up. This Audi TT started out as a 1.8 turbo with about 180 hp but by the time the owner finished the car, it was capable of well over 350 hp with the upgrade turbo kit, FMIC and a host of other engine mods. The car rolls on OZ lightweight Superleggera's and sports ta big brake kit as well.

When it came time for the interior and electronics, the owner wanted something special that was both high fidelity and also show quality. First on the agenda was integrating 5 custom DEFI gauges into the car. Only problem is on an Audi TT, there just isn't much room for the gauges. Instead of resorting to a cumbersome pillar mount, we decided to mount the primary gauge (the boost meter) in the driver side vent. It was carefully mounted so it looks OEM to the other TT dash section. The remaining 4 gauges were housed in a custom fiberglass enclosure just underneath the temp controls. Normally a sliding ashtray resides in that area. The gauge computer was neatly tucked away in the center console.

For the audio system, the owner wanted nothing but the best, period. We chose to go with all McIntosh gear using a top of the line CD transport deck, McIntosh amplifier, CD changer, and Focal Kevlar speakers throughout the car. The subwoofer section is unique in that it uses (x4) Focal 6.5" subs in dual plexi enclosures. A Sony Vaio computer also resides in the trunk allowing the user access to the internet via a display up front and and wireless keyboard. Other necessities included a Sony XM Radio receiver and a Valentine 1 radar system was was stealth mounted.

The awesome bass quality of the (x4) 6.5" drivers was surprisingly strong! The car has great sound quality and very crisp mids / highs. The final product is a blend of the best of the best and its shows with the Audi TT taking first place at it's first ever competition show!
